Meet the Team

Alan Winn

Alan is the owner and Managing Director of Devon Consulting after co-founding the business in 2012 with then business partner Joe Piggott.

Alan began his career with 9 years working for a large UK based print group as part of the purchasing team, he then switched to selling paper progressing through several roles in the merchant industry spanning the last 33 years.

Most recently prior to Devon Consulting, Alan successfully ran a business unit for a national paper merchant as Sales Director, specialising in narrow format reel supply into the Transactional, Forms, Direct Mail, Converters and Hi Speed Digital Inkjet markets.

Alan is widely respected within the industry, and continues to have an integral hands-on role within the company.

Maggie Hailstones-Bond

Maggie has been with Devon Consulting since 2015, looking after key accounts both internally and externally with customer visits and supporting the sales of Crown Van Gelder products into the UK.

Maggie started her career in the paper related industry at Paragon in 1988, before moving into the world of paper merchanting latterly with the Premier Paper Group. She pursued her career in paper merchanting with the Premier Paper Group before moving on to work for Joe and Alan from 2002 – 2015.

During this time she was employed as an Inside Sales Executive and then as Senior Sales Executive until 2015.

Dave Howard

Dave has recently joined Devon Consulting, coming from a background of paper management and supply, having previously worked in a leading paper merchant in corporate accounts management, and more recently in paper management within a leading marketing and print management company.

Dave will have a primary role for Devon Consulting and CVG with responsibility for promoting the mill and developing product opportunities.

Vicky Stevens

Vicky Stevens joined Devon Consulting in January 2019 as an Administration Assistant. In this key role, Vicky importantly eases the workload on other members of the team that has been created due to the growth in business over the last few years.

Vicky works closely and directly with numerous clients, as well as working alongside Maggie within the company to ensure swift and thorough processing.

Previously Vicky had operated her own successful business before turning to full time employment with Devon Consulting.

Joe Piggott

Joe co-founded Devon Consulting in 2012.

Joe has been giving independent advice regarding fine paper since 2010, following a long career in general merchanting. Starting in a sample department in the west end of London, his experience, covering over 50 years in the industry includes directorships of several merchant companies and divisions, and involvement in national and international accounts over much of this period.

Joe continues to operate as a Private Consultant for Devon Consulting.
